The Scottish PGA's Number One player in 2008 won a record five Order of Merit tournaments on the Tartan Tour to regain the Order of Merit title that he first won in 2005.
Won the Great Britain and Ireland PGA Play-Off series that sees the PGA's best players from each region go head-to-head to determine who will be crowned the Number One player across Great Britain and Ireland as well as winning a place in some of the 2009 European Tour's flagship events. He then won his European Tour card at the Qualifying School - Final Stage to ensure a full season on Tour in 2009. He subsequently lost his card and played on The Tartan Tour again in 2010, playing some Challenge Tour events. He just missed out on gaining his full European Tour Card for the 2011 season. This, however, secured his full playing rights for the 2011 Challenge Tour. Chris is also a fully qualified PGA Professional.
